Maintenance Agreements

We provide agreements for long-term support and in-plant labor contracts for select clients. These tend to be large-scale operations covering 100k square feet and up with large and complex systems.

We customize each project to ensure you’re receiving exactly what you need and nothing more. These agreements typically include monthly visits where we conduct a series of tests to ensure you’re pumps are performing at optimum levels.

We’ll also provide you with a project assessment to include any problematic findings. We’ll build X amount of hours into your agreement, including travel, with the only additional costs being parts, if needed.

Often times, it’s far more economical to rebuild and/or upgrade your existing pumps than to buy new ones. We’ll guide you through this decision and make sure you know your cost and time options.

One of our more popular services is our vibration analysis and general assessment. We’ll conduct a general assessment to include a vibration analysis intended to uncover even the faintest vibration, which, over time can lead to major disruptions with your equipment.

Our full-service machine shop specializes in fabrication and modification of parts and assemblies to support the needs of our repair facilities and customers:

  • Fabrication:
    • Brass Bushings
    • Sleeve Bearings
    • Spacers
    • Pump Shafts and Sleeves
    • Wear/Case Rings
    • Line Shaft Couplings
  • Modifications:
    • Rebowling
    • Volute Repair
    • Impeller Trim
    • Coupling Boring and Key Slotting
    • Surface Grinding

Testing and balancing rotating elements individually or as an assembled unit increases the life of your equipment by preventing premature bearing failures and limited shaft deflection.

We’ll perform these test on a scheduled basis or on-demand as either part of your annual maintenance agreement or as-needed.

Pump Repair Services Overview

Pump repair, previously damaged, is substantially cheaper than replacing it. Pump casings and impellers can be sand blasted then coated with a Polymer Coating to extend your pump life, improve its performance and reduce energy consumption.

Many times, a pump can be fully restored to factory standards and in some cases, better than new for a fraction of the cost of buying new. A pump repair rebuild that includes a new coating results in high reliability and a dramatically improved lifecycle.

In some cases, the original design can be enhanced during the rebuild to include updated materials in the rebuild and/or repair. The yields enhanced performance with ROI potentially seen in months vs years.

Beyond pump repair and rebuilding, Progressive Machine Works is focused on keeping your pumps running at optimum performance and efficiency.

We offer a range of maintenance programs designed to protect your investment, reduce downtime and increase productivity. These programs are designed to prevent avoidable repairs. Our maintenance programs can be tailored specifically to your equipment and applications.
